Freediving is the most natural way to spend time underwater. It basically starts when we hold our breath and immerse ourselves. During diving on our breath hold we become one with the nature around us. There is silence here and we do not disturb it, but we become a part of it. We are not dependent on any diving equipment that can break down or limit us. By freediving, we use what nature has given us and we develop our abilities to assimilate with the aquatic world. Over time, we learn that we are able to stay underwater on one breath much longer than we thought as possible. We learn to control our body, mind and emotions. Freediving offers us many joys and health benefits, e.g. it reduces stress and anxiety, clears the mind, improves blood oxygen management so that our body uses oxygen more efficiently, has a beneficial effect on our figure and flexibility. Recreational freediving is an activity that most people can start and experience, and age is not a limitation here ;)

What is freediving and what does freediving mean specifically for me? It is, above all, a way and opportunity to commune with the underwater world of our planet, its nature, underwater landscapes, being with yourself, calming the mind, acquiring greater mindfulness and gratitude.

In my opinion, freediving is an activity that has a lot to offer us on many levels. Even people who do not feel very confident in the water can confidently start their adventure with freediving and see the beauty and benefits of this activity.

Children can also start freediving very naturally (and my older daughter is a good example of this ;)).
